$5 Million Lawsuit against Ontario Hospital Alleges Late-Eighties Sexual Assault by Psychiatrist Allan Umar Khitab

A 51-year-old Cambridge man says he was sexually assaulted by a psychiatrist in the late '80s and is suing Cambridge Hospital for $5 million.

The former psychiatrist, Allan Herbert Umar Khitab, isn't listed as a defendant in the lawsuit filed with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice earlier this month, but the suit does identify him as the alleged abuser.

In a statement of claim, the victim alleges he was repeatedly sexually abused, assaulted and molested by the disgraced former psychiatrist.
