Judge Orders Psychiatrist Lazaro Pomeraniec to Stay Away from Former Patients He is Charged with Sexually Assaulting

BRIDGEPORT — A judge Friday signed protective orders barring a Fairfield psychiatrist to stay away from two patients he is charged with sexually assaulting at his office this year.

The doctor, 75-year-old Lazaro Pomeraniec, who surrendered his license to practice medicine last month, already was facing charges of fourth-degree sexual assault, a misdemeanor, in connection with a June incident before Fairfield police filed two additional counts last week.
