Acadia Healthcare: Mother Sues Riverview Behavioral Health for Negligence Leading to Sexual Assault of Teen Daughter

TEXARKANA, Ark. — A Texas woman claims the negligence of staff at a local mental health hospital in 2022 contributed to her 14-year-old daughter’s inappropriate relationship and the intensifying of the girl’s suicidal thoughts.

The medical malpractice lawsuit against Riverview Behavioral Health Hospital, 701 Arkansas Blvd., was filed Sept. 11 in Miller County Circuit Court by the woman, a resident of Smith County, Texas.

Breaking news same hospital: up to 25 kids were trying to break out according to police. Officers said they were trying to escape and no serious injuries but several of the kids are facing felony riot charges for trying to escape the hospital. This is OCT 2024 so the suit above should be still in process I would guess... See local paper link...
