Iowa psychologist charged with sexual exploitation, witness tampering and practicing without a license
September 7, 2017
Patrick Pomfrey, a psychologist in Iowa, has been charged with sexual exploitation by a counselor, therapist or school employee, witness tampering and practicing without a license.
He was arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department and released on a $5,000 bond. The sexual exploitation charge is a felony and the other two charges are misdemeanors.
Records from the Iowa Department of Public Health show Pomfrey voluntarily surrendered his license in September 2016 “in response to a complaint alleging boundary violations with a client.” In June 2017, he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and received a suspended jail sentence.
