Wisconsin psychologist Twila Pearson surrenders license to board after sex and marriage to former patient
December 3, 2008
Wisconsin psychologist Twila M. Pearson surrendered her license to the Wisconsin Psychology Examining Board. The Board’s document states that Pearson exchanged letters of a personal nature with a prison inmate who had been under her treatment; using an assumed name she deposited money in his account and wrote to his parole agent requesting his early release; that she later picked him up upon his release from prison; engaged in a sexual relationship with him and later married him. Pearson can petition for the reinstatement of her license after two years and under numerous terms and conditions.
