Wisconsin psychiatrist Charles D. Morgan loses license to practice in California for sex crime

The Medical Board of California revoked psychiatrist Charles Dignam Morgan’s license to practice medicine. Morgan, who had been licensed in California and Wisconsin, was criminally prosecuted in Wisconsin: On March 19, 2009, Morgan was sentenced to serve six years probation on a conviction for two counts of sexual exploitation by a therapist. According to the criminal complaint, Morgan sexually assaulted a 27-year-old woman, who he had been treating for two years. The woman told Morgan she wanted a different psychiatrist after he kissed her on two occasions while she was in the hospital receiving treatment in June 2008. As a condition of his probation sentence, the judge ordered Morgan to serve nine months in county jail and perform 200 hours of community service.
