Vancouver Psychiatrist Tapash Chakraborty Banned for Sex with Patient

A former Vancouver psychiatrist has been banned from practising in B.C. or any other jurisdiction due to alleged sexual misconduct with a female patient, according to the professional regulator.
Dr. Tapash Chakraborty’s alleged misconduct occurred between 2019 and 2022, said a public notification from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia posted online Friday.
Chakraborty, according to a disciplinary citation, was facing allegations of “making remarks of a sexual nature and engaging in other communications of a sexual nature with the female patient” as well as “touching of a sexual nature, engaging in sexual intercourse, and other forms of physical sexual relations with the female patient.”

He should have been aware of 'boundary violations' as a serious lapse of judgement..
He must not have breached the strict ethical guidelines laid down many centuries ago.
He should have got help and advice from his senior colleagues in managing his patient
As a last resort he should have formally discharged her if he had developed 'romantic counter transference towards his female patient. As such he deserves the appropriate condemnation.
