Universal Health Services: Former Patients of Milton Girls Juvenile Facility Sue for Sexual Assault

Five Santa Rosa County women have filed a lawsuit against the former operator of the Milton Girls Juvenile Residential Facility, alleging they were sexually assaulted by members of the staff when they were children, and the administrators did nothing to stop it.

The Milton Girls Juvenile Residential Facility was a Florida Department of Juvenile Justice facility in East Milton that offered counseling and behavioral management services to rehabilitate young women who were in trouble with the law, but the facility was closed in 2012 after allegations of abuse by the staff. The facility was converted to a Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Annex building.
