Third state takes license from psychiatrist Jeffrey T. Gray
August 17, 2007
On August 17, 2007, psychiatrist Jeffrey T. Gray agreed not to reapply to the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing Board of Medicine for licensure until such time as he can provide evidence that he is capable of safely practicing medicine in the state of Utah. In June 2005, Dr. Gray voluntarily entered into a Stipulation and Order in Case in which his Utah physician/surgeon license was suspended pending the outcome of a California disciplinary proceeding. On January 31, 2006 his Utah suspended physician/surgeon license expired when it was not renewed. In November 2006 he surrendered his California medical license to resolve the pending disciplinary action in that state. In August 2005, Dr. Gray was sentenced in California to three years probation for unlawfully issuing a prescription drug and possession of a controlled substance. He also surrendered his Colorado license in March 2006.1
