Texas marriage & family therapist disciplinary actions - January 2012

The Texas State Board of Marriage & Family Therapists recently took the following disciplinary actions:
On January 27, 2012, the Board reprimanded licensed professional counselor John Sikes Johnson, due to reasons related to his criminal history.
On January 27, 2012, the Board placed licensed professional counselor Gregory Lee Hood on probated suspension for two years, related to failure to take reasonable steps to facilitate a referral for appropriate care for a client and failure to comply with the Texas Health and Safety Code concerning confidential information by disclosing confidential client information in an email.
On January 24, 2012, the Board placed licensed professional counselor Ronald J. Hodgkiss on temporary suspension, due to reasons related to his related to his criminal history.
On January 27, 2012, the Board placed licensed professional counselor Alycia Brown on six months probated suspension for engaging in unethical conduct. Brown was placed on probated suspension by the Alabama State Board of Examiners in Counseling for violations of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice governing Professional Counselors in Alabama.
On January 27, 2012, the Board accepted the voluntary surrender of the licensed professional counselor Jackalyn Rainosek’s license, related to engaging in activities for personal gain and failure to set and maintain professional boundaries.
On January 27, 2012, the Board revoked licensed professional counselor Griselda A. Lozano’s license for reasons related to her criminal history.
On January 27, 2012, the Board placed licensed professional counselor Nancy Lyons on one year probated suspension, related to failure to provide a written statement regarding client treatment records to the Department Investigator, per request.
