Texas Psychiatrist Robert J. Harden Arrested on Charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault

A Plano psychiatrist was arrested last week after accusations he sexually assaulted an adult family member, according to police.
Robert James Harden, 69, was arrested around 7 p.m. Thursday on a charge of aggravated sexual assault, police said. He is being held at the Collin County Detention Center and his bail has been set at $250,000, police said.
No details were available about when the alleged attack occurred. He was taken into custody without incident, police said, adding that the department is still investigating. It is unclear if he has an attorney.
Harden is listed as part of the staff at Plano Psychiatric, according to the clinic’s website. The medical facility is in the 3000 block of Communications Parkway.
Police declined to reply to questions related to Harden’s profession, but the Texas Medical Board website showed that he has an active medical license, which is scheduled to expire in February.
Harden’s secondary specialty includes child and adolescent psychiatry, according to the state medical board’s website.
The location of Harden’s primary practice is the Plano clinic, and he has practiced psychiatry in the state for 37 years, according to the medical board website.
