October 26, 2017
Tennessee psychiatrist Dan Nicolau was placed on probation for prescribing a contolled substance to someone who was not his patient.
He later entered into a romantic relationship with her. After the relationship ended, he entered her home uninvited and tried to grab her and hug and kiss her.
Nicolau will pay $2,000 in civil penalties, in addition to the costs of prosecuting his case, and will be on probation for two years, starting this month. The board named other requirements, including that he refrain from alcohol for a year and be chaperoned when treating females for addiction.
