State suspends license of social worker Kimberly A. Sayles
January 12, 2012
On July 12, 2012, The Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners suspended the license of social worker Kimberly A. Sayles.
Sayles had been the foster parenting case manager for a family in 2008.
The family later became counseling clients at the agency where Sayles worked from September 2009 until June 2012, when she was terminated for “poor performance” and “improper conduct”.
Prior to her termination, in early 2012, the mother encountered Sayles in the community and they began contacting each other on Facebook.
The mother indicated that Sayles told her about the reason for the medical leave of another staff person at Sayles’ place of employment.
Sayles acknowledged that she and her son stayed at the family’s home for a period of time in March 2012 and that she never told anyone at her place of employment about her prior relationship and personal relationship with the family.
