State revokes license of psychiatrist Wesley McEldoon
September 22, 2013
On June 21, 2013, the Medical Board of California revoked the license of psychiatrist Wesley Alan McEldoon.
On or about February 14, 2012, the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine reprimanded McEldoon and imposed a $3,000 fine based on findings that he obtained his medical license through fraud or deceit in connection with an application for emergency medical license he filed with the Maine Board. In this instance, McEldoon executed an affidavit in which he stated that he would file a completed application for permanent Maine medical license within 14 days of having been issued an emergency license. However, he never did.
On November 15, 2012, the Medical Board of California issued an Accusation against McEldoon, based on Maine’s disciplinary action. This was a default action taken when McEldoon failed to respond to the California Board’s attempts to contact him.
