State places conditions on counselor Heidi Fischer

On November 20, 2012, the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board suspended the license of counselor Heidi Fischer for one year. The Committee stayed the suspension and imposed conditions upon Fischer.
According to the Committee’s document, Fischer engaged in unprofessional conduct by engaging in a personal relationship with the adoptive father of a minor client whom she counseled.
The terms and conditions imposed include continuing education in dual relationships and 18 months of practice supervision.
