State of Idaho revokes social worker Robert T. Hall's license
February 6, 2013
On February 10, 2012, the Idaho Board of Social Work Examiners revoked the license of social worker Robert T. Hall, citing Hall’s “lengthy and significant substance/alcohol abuse problem” which includes several criminal convictions: On two occasions in 2007, Hall purchased controlled substances for his own (illegal) use from one of his own clients, who had been prescribed the drugs; while impaired by alcohol or drugs, placed late night or early morning calls to two clients to discuss his own marriage and personal issues; pleaded guilty in October 2007 to a misdemeanor battery charge; pleaded guilty in August 2010 to misdemeanor disturbing the peace relative to family dispute (the document states that Hall was drinking alcohol prior to the incident); pleaded guilty in December 2010 to a probation violation; pleaded guilty in March 2011 to another charge of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to six months jail with five months suspended. Hall’s right to renew or reinstate his license was also revoked and he was ordered to pay administrative fines totaling $3,000.
