State issues cease practice order on psychiatrist Stewart Lovelace
January 13, 2014
On November 19, 2013, the Medical Board of California issued a Cease Practice Order on psychiatrist Stewart W. Lovelace due to his failure to comply with the terms of a disciplinary order.
On August 17, 2012, the Board placed Lovelace’s license on probation for two years for failure to comply with the terms of the Board’s October 26, 2009 probation for, among other things, gross negligence relative to this treatment of three patients.
Specifically, he did not acquire all the continuing medical education which he was ordered to nor did he enroll in the PACE training program as ordered.
The current Cease Practice is also due to his failure enroll in PACE or an equivalent program.
