State Seeks to Revoke License of Psychiatrist Renee Dupont for DUI Conviction

On February 6, 2019, the Medical Board of California issued an Accusation against San Diego psychiatrist Renee M. Dupont.

The Accusation which seeks to suspend, revoke, or otherwise discipline Dr. Dupont’s license is based on Dr. Dupont’s September 23, 2016 conviction for driving while having 0.08 percent and, by weight, of alcohol in her blood. This conviction was based on evidence gathered during her July 19, 2016 arrested in which San Diego Sheriff’s pulled her over for failure to obey a stop sign, failure to maintain her lane of travel, and stopping in the road without cause. She was unable to complete several of the field sobriety tests that were administered at the scene. The Accusation states that the blood sample she provided tested for a blood alcohol concentration of 0.22 percent.

Dr. Dupont was sentenced to 30 days custody, suspended, and five years’ probation with terms including volunteer work.
