Psychologist had baby with 16-year-old patient
November 4, 2013
On or about August 28, 2013, the New South Wales Health Care Complaints Commission reported that the Psychology Board of Australia reprimanded psychologist Catherine McKeehan, for engaging in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old patient, with whom she had a baby. McKeehan was not registered to practice at the time of this disciplinary action but the Board noted that the Tribunal that heard the facts of the case would have cancelled her registration had it been active. Should she seek to re-register, she will be prohibited from practice in juvenile services for five years, among other conditions.
