Psychologist Toni Meterlekamp received a complaint from The Health Care Complaints Commission and was found guilty of unsatisfactory professional conduct for both the personal and financial relationships she entered into with the patient.

The complaint alleged that the Meterlekamp inappropriately commenced and maintained a personal relationship with a patient who she treated between July 2013 and April 2014. On 3 May 2018 the New SOuth Wales Tribunal found that the practitioner was guilty of unsatisfactory professional conduct for both the personal and financial relationships she entered into with the patient. The Tribunal reprimanded the practitioner and imposed a mentoring conditions on her registration for a 12 month period.
