Psychologist Terence Heltzel gives up license on charges of "relationship"
April 23, 2013
On or about April 23, 2013, psychologist D. Terence Heltzel, Ph.D, surrendered his license to the Ohio State Board of Psychology. The Board’s document states that Heltzel began treating “Client X” in approximately June of 1990 for depression following the deaths of two family members and after approximately three years of treatment entered into a non-professional relationship with the client after the termination of the professional relationship. Heltzel did not admit to violating any law or rule governing the practice of psychology.
Also a nurse practitioner and a psychologist may have different state rules regarding this type of behavior.
