Psychiatrist arrested for sexual contact with female employees
June 12, 2012
ALBANY COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Colonie psychiatrist is under arrest after police say he sexually abused two women.
Police say the alleged victims were not patients, but employees at the practice.
Police say last month, Colonie psychiatrist Kevin George, 52, who works at Psychopharmacology Consultants of Albany, had sexual contact with two women without their consent. Police say at this point they have no indication of any prior misconduct from George, nor any reason to anticipate that other victims may come forward.
"It involved him subjecting them to physical contact. Sexually physical contact that they did no want. Both him touching them and rubbing himself against them," said Colonie Police Lieutenant Robert Winn.
George has been charged with sexual abuse and forcible touching.
The two victims who made the complaints no longer work at the practice, a decision they made themselves.
