Psychiatrist Marc Shinderman loses Illinois license following criminal conviction

In November 2007, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation suspended psychiatrist Marc S. Shinderman’s license and three controlled substance dispensing licenses for a minimum of one year due to a criminal conviction. Shinderman, who most recently practiced in the state of Maine, was convicted in 2006 of 58 felony offenses involving forging prescription slips and medical records and was sentenced March 26, 2007 to six months in prison. In addition to his prison term, Shinderman was also sentenced to six months of home confinement and a $30,000 fine.1
