Psychiatrist Leon Fajerman Now Has Lawsuit Against Him for Claims of Sexual Assault of a Patient

California psychiatrist Leon Fajerman now has a lawsuit against him on claims of sexual assault of a patient, specifically, “pressing his body tightly against hers, fondling her breasts and buttock with his hand, caressing her hair, and forcibly kissing her neck.” Claims were made by a woman known as Jane Doe. The lawsuit states that “before handing Jane Doe her prescriptions, Fajerman would position his body in a way to block the exit to his office before going in for his attack.”

 

Fajerman plead not guilty in late May 2018 to sexual battery and having sex with a patient. Among the charges against Fajerman is a violation of Business and Professional Code 729(a). The code states that any physician, psychiatrist or counselor who has sexual relations with a patient or terminates a relationship with a patient for the purpose of having sexual contact is guilty of sexual exploitation.

 

Fajerman also surrendered his medical license in May after complaints against him were turned in to the Medical Board of California.
