Psychiatrist Karen Holloway won't practice in New York after Mississippi drug violation

On August 13, 2013, psychiatrist Karen Holloway entered into a Consent Agreement with the New York Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC), agreeing to never activate her registration to practice in the state of New York.

According to the OPMC’s document, in April 2012, the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure suspended Holloway for one year (stayed) and placed her on probation for one year based on documented evidence of dishonorable or unethical conduct likely to deceive, defraud or harm the public and had administered, dispensed or prescribed drugs having addiction-forming liabilities outside the course of legitimate medical practice.
