Psychiatrist Arnaldo Solis charged by state for sexual conduct with pregnant patient
August 10, 2012
On August 1, 2012, the Medical Board of California issued an Accusation against psychiatrist Arnaldo Solis, of Salinas, California. The Board’s document states that in April 2008, Solis began treating a female patient who had recently become pregnant and that he engaged in sexualized behavior toward the patient, which was unwanted by the patient, leading the patient to feel betrayed and to stop going to Solis for treatment. Specifically, the document states that Solis asked personal questions about Solis’ sex life, asked the patient for a patient of herself, told her multiple times that she was pretty, asked if he could deliver her baby, intimately rubbed her arms and made comments to the patient about her breasts, among other things.
