Ontario Psychologist Farrokh Sedigh-Deilami Charged with Sexual Assault of Child

A 61-year-old psychologist from Markham, Ontario, has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference following allegations involving a youth during a therapy appointment. According to York Regional Police, the alleged victim attended an appointment on June 29, where the psychologist allegedly gave the youth a massage before inappropriately touching them. Police say the victim was not physically injured.

Investigators executed a search warrant at the suspect's Markham residence on July 4 and arrested Farrokh Sedigh-Deilami, who now faces criminal charges. Authorities have publicly identified the accused and released his image because they believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.

York Regional Police are encouraging anyone with information or who believes they may have been affected to contact investigators. As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and the accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
