Omaha psychiatrist fined $10,000 and serving a suspension for his inappropriate relationship
August 11, 2017
Dr. Leandro Anit Jr., an Omaha psychiatrist who had worked at CenterPointe in Lincoln, Nebraska, was fined $10,000, and his license was suspended for 30 days because of an inappropriate relationship with a patient. Dr. Leandro Anit Jr. agreed to the settlement and waived his right to a disciplinary hearing. His suspension began a week ago.
CenterPointe President and CEO Topher Hansen called it little more than a slap on the wrist for what he saw as a serious breach of trust and Anit's intentional deceit to cover it up.
