An Oklahoma City counselor and his son have been charged with Medicaid fraud.

Attorney General Scott Pruitt's Medicaid Fraud Unit filed charges against 59-year-old Olaoye "Felix" Faboro and his son, 28-year-old Abayomi Temitope Faboro on Friday.

Authorities said between July, 2010, and July 2011, "Felix" Faboro, a licensed professional counselor for YouthCare of Oklahoma, billed the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) a total of $25,984 in fraudulent claims for counseling services to three children from one family.

Investigators also said Felix Faboro knowingly possessed and submitted to OHCA forged Mental Health Services Plans, in order to continue providing the alleged services to the children.

Abayomi Temitope Faboro, a behavioral health rehabilitation specialist with YouthCare of Oklahoma, also fraudulently claimed to provide counseling services to the same children, according to the attorney general's office.

Authorities said Abayomi Temitope Faboro received $8,924 from OHCA.

According to authorities, during the investigation, the children's mother said "Felix" eventually provided counseling to her eldest child, but only greeted the other children. The mother said she did not know Abayomi Faboro.

Investigators said Abayomi Faboro was unable to describe the family's home or provide the address.
