New York psychiatrist loses license for fraudulent reports
July 25, 2006
The New York State Board for Professional Medical Conduct revoked psychiatrist Roger J. Brick's license. This was in response to evidence that Dr. Brick was found guilty in June 2005 of the crime of Enterprise Corruption. (Enterprise Corruption is a felony in the same class as first-degree manslaughter, first-degree Rape and second-degree Kidnapping.) The crimes committed were the submission of fraudulent medical reports to insurance companies for the purpose of causing the insurance companies to make payments on insurance claims for which there was no genuine medical justification.
