New York medical board reprimands psychiatrist Ioni Sisodia following theft conviction

The New York Board for Profession Medical Conduct censured and reprimanded psychiatrist Ioni Dipti Sisodia and fined her $5,000. According to the Board’s “Statement of Charges,” on or about November 20, 2007, Dr. Sisodia was found guilty in Ulster County (New York) based on a plea of guilty, of petty larceny, a class “A” misdemeanor, and was sentenced to an Unconditional Discharge. Dr. Sisodia was excluded in 2008 from participating as a provider in federally funded health plans due to a conviction for Medicaid fraud.
