New Mexico psychiatrist arrested for sexually abusing a patient
July 24, 2017
New Mexico psychiatrist Alan Emamdee was arrested and charged with six counts of criminal sexual penetration and five counts of criminal sexual contact.
George Joy, a detective with the Farmington Police Department, said, "These were all visits to his office during office hours that were part of supposed treatment."
Police started investigating him in March after two patients complained. Emamdee is on a no-bond hold at the San Juan County Detention Center.
