New Jersey psychiatrist Claudio Dicovskiy guilty of accepting bribes

On July 17, 2013, the Newark, NJ Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation reported that New Jersey psychiatrist Claudio Dicovskiy pleaded guilty to violating the federal Travel Act. The FBI’s release states that Dicovskiy agreed to accept bribes from a diagnostic lab to in exchange for his referral of blood specimens to them. Dicovskiy disguised the monthy payments by entering into a sham lease and service agreement with the lab in which the bribe payments were characterized as “lease” and “service” payments. Dicovskiy received more than $224,000 in bribe payments and the lab made more than $800,000 through testing blood specimens referred by Dicovskiy.
