Nevada Medical Board Files Two Complaints Against Psychiatrist Abdollah Assad

A Reno psychiatrist is facing multiple malpractice complaints from the state’s medical board, including allegations that he had sex with a patient who was in “a fragile state” after trying to commit suicide.
The Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners filed two separate complaints through its general counsel on Aug. 14 against Dr. Abdollah Assad, accusing the psychiatrist of multiple offenses while treating two different patients. The medical board oversees licensing and discipline of the state’s doctors.
