NYC Psychologist Leanh Nguyen Suspended for Sexual Boundary Violation of Patient

In its February 2019 monthly disciplinary action summary, the New York State Office of the Professions reported that on February 11th, psychologist Leanh D. Nguyen, Ph.D. was suspended indefinitely for not less than one year and until fit to practice.
Dr. Nguyen admitted to the charge of engaging in a consensual romantic relationship with a patient, leading to a sexual boundary violation.
Upon termination of her suspension, she would be placed on two years’ probation.
Thirty percent of convictions of psychologists and psychiatrists are for sex-related violations.
