Minnesota social worker disciplinary actions, Feb. - Nov. 2013

On November 13, 2013, clinical social worker Peter H. DeLong entered into a Stipulation and Order with the Minnesota Board of Social Work, conditioning and restricting his license. The Board’s document states that DeLong, among other things, divulged confidential client information and other confidential information; forged a foster parent’s signature on a referral form and made multiple billing and payment errors.

On October 17, 2013, the Minnesota Board reprimanded licensed graduate social worker Trisha D. Suedel and ordered to pay a civil penalty of $150 for practicing social work without a license for a seven-month period between March and September 2013.

On September 20, 2013, the Ohio Board suspended social worker Danielle Schuler for two weeks. Schuler failed to complete the audit of her continuing education in a timely manner.

On September 20, 2103, the Ohio Board revoked the license of social worker Kaleigh A. Ziegler. The Board’s document states that Ziegler, while employed at a mental health services agency between March and May 2013, misappropriated monies from her clients.

On September 19, 2013, the Ohio Board reprimanded social worker Andrea F. Stuck. According to the Board’s document, Stuck “blurred boundaries with a client by engaging in a financial transaction with him.”

On August 29, 2013, the Minnesota Board reprimanded licensed graduate social worker Amanda L. Kubista. The Board’s document states that she was licensed in 2013 but worked for several years prior in a social work-related position which required a degree which she did not possess until 2012.

On June 20, 2013, social worker Ronald C. Ploetz surrendered his license to the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (“Ohio Board”). Ploetz, who was audited for compliance with the Board’s continuing education requirements, failed to provide proof of the hours needed to renew his license.

On March 20, 2013, clinical social worker Michael R. Norman entered into a Stipulation and Order with the Minnesota Board to engage in consultation with another social worker with experience in maintaining accurate and complete documentation for one year or 2,000 hours. The Board’s document states, among other things, that Norman practiced as a clinical supervisor of six mental health practitioners and that clinical records were found in large piles on and underneath his desk and in the shredder and that he’d failed to handle the supervisee’s clinical documentation, resulting in negative performance evaluations.

On February 26, 2013, the Minnesota Board reprimanded clinical social worker Mario W. Einsman. On September 19, 2012, the Wisconsin Social Work Examining Board suspended Einsman for one month for failure to report to the county social services agency sexual abuse of a minor that the minor client disclosed to him during treatment sessions.
