Medical board concerned: psychiatrist prescribed without DEA registration

On October 25, 2012, the Florida Board of Medicine issued psychiatrist Carlos Alberto Salgueiro a letter of concern.

The Board’s amended administrative complaint states that in August 2011 the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts reprimanded Salgueiro.

The Missouri Board’s complaint against Salgueiro states that he prescribed controlled substances in the state of Missouri between February 23, 2009 and March 30, 2009 despite not having a DEA registration in the state of Missouri.
