Massachusetts psychiatrist Deborah Sichel gives up license to practice
July 18, 2013
On April 17, 2013, psychiatrist Deborah Sichel voluntarily resigned her license to the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, acknowledging it as a disciplinary action.
No direct reason is given in the Board’s document for the resignation. However, in September 2004, the Board suspended Sichel’s license for 18 months because it was found that she used her position as a psychologist to obtain the private records of someone who had filed a complaint against her husband, and had also failed to disclose to the Board on her 2001 license renewal that she had been diagnosed with or had a medical condition that impaired her ability to practice medicine.
