Malaysian Psychiatrist Gurdeep Singh Suspended for Sending Lewd Text Messages to Patient

The Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) has removed a Petaling Jaya-based psychiatrist from its registry and suspended him for a year after he was found guilty of sending his patient lewd text messages.

However, as of last week, Dr Gurdeep Singh Narain Singh was still practising and said he was filing an appeal against the suspension.

He was also still listed as a registered practitioner by the MMC as of Dec 20. [Psychcrime has determined that his name has since been removed from the register.]
