Kentucky psychiatrist's license suspended after marijuana charges

Kentucky psychiatrist Peter Steiner had his license suspended after being charged with possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, as well as tampering with physical evidence, a Class D felony.  

Police say he was found at his office hiding marijuana inside a McDonald's bag.  

The Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure issued an emergency license suspension late last week, which temporarily bans Steiner from practicing medicine. 

He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment and is next due in court April 16.
