January 8, 2014
On April 3, 2013, psychologist Cara Hale (fka Cara Armstrong) surrendered her license to the Iowa Board of Psychology. The Board’s statement of charges states that, among other things, Hale, while employed as a senior staff psychologist at Iowa State University (ISU), engaged in a sexual relationship with a male graduate student while supervising/mentoring him and confided personal information to another graduate student about her husband, who was also a professor at ISU and also the student’s instructor.
