June 22, 2012

On October 26, 2012, the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapists and Mental Health Counseling accepted the voluntarily relinquishment of mental health counselor Irma Rebecca Truluck’s license to practice.

According to the Board’s document, Truluck failed to report legal actions taken her to the Department of Health at the time she filed her license renewal applications.

Specifically, Truluck was charged with shoplifting in February 1998 for which she entered an intervention program and the charges were dropped; she was arrested and charged with DUI in December 2005, to which she pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was sentenced to a fine and probation; she was again charged with shoplifting in October 2006, to which she pleaded no contest and for which she was fined and she was arrested yet again for shoplifting in August 2007, for which she was found guilty and sentenced to probation and a fine.
