I should have slapped the stupid off your face the day you said to me (and I quote you), %u201Conly step-parents molest, not biological parents, and certainly not former police officers!%u201D Your actions and lies (and omission of the psychiatrist%u2019s report) in your report to the court all totally make sense now. The actual psych evals, including Rorschach tests that spelled out that he was a sexual deviant, made zero difference in your recommendations to the courts in 2005 and 2006. You didn%u2019t give a crap about the best interests of the children, just the dirty money! You couldn%u2019t keep your lies straight if you tried. WOW! So, I guess in your twisted reality, biological parents do fake molest their children, but only if they happen to be the ex of your income-producing business partner/friend! No wonder you called me a liar. You were projecting YOURSELF and your wicked nasty schemes onto me! And I thought the narc ex was the ultimate monster! No, you are Karen Hobbs. Rest assured, he is waiting for you and everyone else involved in hell (yeah, he died in 2013)!

Thank god this woman lost her license. She has destroyed so many lives. She ignored hospital reports of abuse (testified she believed I had made it up despite my physical injuries seen and noted by doctors), discounted testimonies of people who knew us well including teachers, neighbors, and our adult son, and even disparaged our marriage counselor who risked her license to speak up because she found my husband to be extremely dangerous. But the woman my ex met on match and had been dating 2 weeks and had never met me was %u201Cthe most credible witness%u201D in her custody report. Additionally, she grossly misrepresented another psychologists%u2019 reports saying he was not to be trusted and likely lying, ignored documented evidence of financial and verbal abuse, stalking, and breaking in my house post divorce, ignored evidence of neglecting, abusing, and putting our children in danger, and even ignored written admissions of abuse from my ex. She follows %u201Cher gut%u201D as she put it. When pressed about the physical abuse in court, she testified that %u201Cmen often lash out physically when stressed, but when the stressor is removed they stop.%u201D And she wrote in her report that despite 12 years of being uninvolved in any aspects of parenting, he would %u201Cstep-up if given a chance.%u201D She also had ex-parte contact with my ex during our custody case. I filed the divorce papers and was trying to escape a sociopath but she characterized me to the court as obsessed, still in love, and unwilling to let him go! She destroyed my life and the lives of my 4 amazing children; we will never recover from the effects of her lunacy, though that was 20 years ago. I think there should be a class-action lawsuit against the state or county for putting our lives in the hands of this crazy person. Others in the psychology community admitted to me at the time that they knew she shouldn%u2019t be practicing and they had made complaints, but nothing was done. I cannot believe she is now working running a school. That%u2019s utterly terrifying.

I am in fact the complaining witness in the case referenced above. It was heard in Alameda County, CA, which seemed to have a relatively fair family court process and was not swayed by Hobbs' completely unprofessional statements to the court. However, it is clear that she felt emboldened to behave this way based on years of throwing her "professional" weight around in Contra Costa County custody cases. Who knows what damage she wrought there! It took an impressive amount of arrogance for her to insert herself in my case, having absolutely no official capacity, and make unfounded pronouncements to the court, which did indeed negatively affect my life and my child's life, simply by her influence on the vulnerable opposing party. Her actions are clearly highly symptomatic of long-standing, unchecked power. I am relieved the Board of Psych. did its job and compelled her to surrender her license.
