Counselor who traded services with chiro is disciplined
January 23, 2014
On November 7, 2013, the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners placed licensed professional counselor Kelly O’Horo on probation for 12 months with terms and conditions. The Board’s document states that O’Horo entered into a dual relationship with a client who was the owner of a chiropractic practice and was treated by the client. O’Horo sought guidance from peers on the matter and was advised to terminate her chiropractic treatment with the client and refer him to another counselor. However, she did not heed the professional advice.
