Counselor Norman Nickles’ license suspended for sex with client

The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) suspended Norman S. Nickle’s credential to practice as a registered counselor. The DOH’s Agreed Order states that between March 2006 and April 2007, Mr. Nickle committed unprofessional conduct involving a client whom he began hugging at the close of their counseling sessions; this progressed to Nickle telling the client he loved her; Nickle then entered into a sexual relationship with the client about which Nickel admitted to six to eight instances of sexual contact at his office, at a hotel and at the client’s home. He also admitted buying the client lingerie from Frederick’s of Hollywood. 1
