Counselor Michael Shawn Brown convicted of murder

In August 2012, former North Carolina mental health counselor Michael Shawn Brown was convicted of second-degree murder and was sentenced in December 2012 to serve 20-to-34 years in prison. In Brown’s plea, he admitted to killing a man inside him private mental health counseling offices in March 2011.
