Counselor Diane Jackson disciplined for custody recommendations

On May 21, 2011, the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage & Family Therapist Board placed professional clinical counselor Diane R. Jackson on practice monitoring for six months due violations of state Code. According to the Board’s document, Jackson “provided custody recommendations for a client with whom she had not established a therapeutic relationship.” She was additionally required to acquire additional continuing education in the area of counselor ethics concerning custody issues/counseling with children.
