Colorado psychologist Phillip Bennett suspended by state board

The Colorado State Mental Health Licensing Boards summarily suspended psychologist Phillip Bennett. The Board’s entry on Bennett in its monthly disciplinary reports states that he violated several provisions of the Colorado statute related to mental health practitioners; he acted in a manner that does not meet generally accepted professional standards of practice; did not maintain appropriate professional boundaries by engaging in a personal relationship with a client; failed to refer his client to an appropriate practitioner for therapy and, instead engaged in an inappropriate relationship; engaged in a sexual relationship with a client.
