California child psychologist indicted on new child porn charges
January 22, 2018
Kenneth Breslin, a 69-year-old child psychologist, has been indicted by a federal jury on new child pornography and contempt of court charges after an investigation determined he continued to download lewd images of kids while awaiting trial for the same conduct.
Breslin was already facing a single count of possessing child porn, and had even reached a tentative plea deal with federal prosecutors, when it was revealed he had continued to view and download child porn while out on bail.
He has now been hit with two counts of child porn possession and one count of contempt of court. He faces 20 years in prison for each child porn count, as well as a $250,000 fine. Federal prosecutors pulled out of the plea deal.
