Broadstep Behavioral Health: Father of Former Patient Speaks Out about Personal Injury Lawsuit

PICKENS, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The father behind a personal injury lawsuit against a psychiatric facility for kids and teens is speaking out for the first time.

FOX Carolina News first reported on the lawsuit in May, one month after the Broadstep Behavioral Health Facility in Pickens permanently closed.

The father said he had concerns about the facility from the beginning.

“We definitely had no idea that our child, the day that we picked him up, would have bruises from his forehead down to his toes. Multiple bruises all over their body,” the father said. “That was definitely not in our expectations, nor should it be in any parents’ expectations.”
